Yellow Pages Group (YPG) announced today its selection by Google as a Canadian AdWords Premier SMB Partner. In 2007, YPG became the first authorized Canadian-based reseller of the Google AdWords advertising program and this certification solidifies YPG's reputation to driving value to its advertisers through marketing programs such as Google AdWords.

Yext’s next big target for local business data syncing: Facebook

In the blink of an eye, Facebook has quickly become a major player for connecting with local businesses.
Taking advantage of that huge opportunity, New York City-based Yext announced today that it will now let its users synchronize their local business information with Facebook. Yext's platform lets business owners manage their listings across sites like Yelp and Yellow Pages from a single dashboard. (Which, hopefully, leads to less inaccurate data and more sales.)

Belgacom Q1 revenues flat, EBITDA falls 6%

Belgacom reported first-quarter sales down 0.1 percent to EUR 1.586 billion. Excluding the impact of regulatory measures, which took an estimated 1.5 percent off revenues, group sales were up 1.4 percent from a year earlier, mainly due to growth in international wholesale services (BICS) and a one-time gain on real estate. Mobile revenues in the business and consumer segments remained under pressure, which was only partially compensated by growth in TV and ICT services.

LinkedIn second-quarter revenue forecast falls short of targets

LinkedIn Corp shares fell 10 percent on Thursday after disappointing revenue forecasts suggested that a revamped mobile app and other new products designed to keep smartphone users engaged will not deliver on advertising growth as quickly as anticipated.

It’s time to buy Yellow Media again: Canaccord

Yellow Media Inc. has been fighting for its life over the last couple of years, but the company's recapitalization and aggressive push into digital media have one analyst recommending the stock to investors again.
Canaccord Genuity's Aravinda Galappatthige upgraded Yellow Media to a "buy" rating today (Canaccord had been restricted from covering the stock during its recapitalization), giving the embattled yellow pages publisher a vote of confidence in its future.
