Skype now available for Outlook.com for users in the UK

Microsoft has announced that its email service Outlook.com will now support Skype, allowing users to make audio and video calls right from their inbox.
The integration of the two services will also allow users to add their Skype contacts to Outlook.com contacts.

Yellow-Pages Firm Hibu Aims for Restructuring by Summer

As yellow-page companies struggle, U.K.-based Hibu PLC is aiming to complete an out-of-court financial restructuring by summer, according to people familiar with its plans.
The company, which has debt of around £2 billion ($3.05 billion), is trying to finalize an exchange of debt for equity with lenders, the people said.

EC seeks comments on Google search proposals

The European Commission has published the proposals it received from Google to resolve concerns over possible anti-competitive behaviour in its search and advertising services. The EC is asking for comments from the market before it decides whether to agree to a settlement with Google and make the proposed changes binding on the company.

Non-geographic calls are those made to 03, 05, 070/076, 080, 0845, 0870, 0843/4, 0871/2/3, 09, 116 and 118 numbers. (-1-) Consumers use these number ranges to call businesses, financial institutions, helplines and government agencies, to get information and to make payments for services.

The European Union has "accepted" Google's formal antitrust settlement proposal — subject to "market testing." As a practical matter, that means EU Competition Commissioner Joaquín Almunia is circulating it among Google's critics and competitors for reaction. However, there has already been plenty of (negative) reaction based on the information that came out last week in news reports.
